So lately I’ve been feeling the distinct urge to blog again. I’ve tried to think of something more interesting to write about than just myself, but to no avail. So I have returned once more to my oft-neglected slice of WordPress, and as the last time I wrote was simply about NINE1SIX Magazine in December of 2007, I feel it’s time for a much needed update.

Charlie and I are still together and going strong, moving quickly toward 2 1/2 years together, which is fantastic. Even with our busy schedules and hectic lives, we are always able to make time for each other (even if it’s not exactly when we want to).

NINE1SIX has been launched for some time, but due to my slammed-full schedule (more on that later), I haven’t been able to work with it as much as I’d like. We have a featured article up about Instant Gratification and some new reviews and such, but without the time to devote to it, most of our new original content is on hold. But Edward and I have some great ideas that we think will start building the magazine’s name recognition around town and on the interwebs.

My school life is pretty much dominating absolutely everything else going on with me. I’m officially at Sacramento State University and already overloaded, but enjoying it. Pledging a fraternity, business classes, band, QSA, and general college social life are pretty much all I do. Fitting in family time and, often more importantly to me, Charlie time is challenging but still (usually) fun. I’ve had to learn new techniques of getting myself organized and making myself do the work I need to do. I have to go in for advising to plan out the rest of my school career ASAP as well, which is a bit daunting.

And, perhaps more exciting than starting at university and moving forward in my life…

I got an iPhone.

Those are pretty much the main changes in my life since December. Not much on paper, but it’s been a bit of a roller coaster so far.

There’s a lot bumbling around in my head right now, and as I’m at work I think I’ll wait til I have some time later to get some of it written down.

Oh, and this blog may be relocating sometime soon to the NINE1SIX servers. Haven’t really decided whether it’s worth it or not, we’ll see.

Long Time No Blog…

October 19, 2006

I’ve neglected my LJ duties… and for that I am truly sorry…

Not really.

SO. Update time. There’s some fun stuff going on lately I guess. My parents got home saturday night after being out of the house for 2 1/2 weeks (and believe me, I wouldn’t mind them going again =P) which was a nice experience with some more independance than I tend to get. But meh.

I was recently promoted to Associate Producer of the US at the queer news site that I write for, Generation Q. It’s hella exciting because I get to work a lot more with the site in addition to writing for it. We’ll see where this takes me, but it looks like a side project htat I’ll be sticking with indefinitely.

Charlie and I are about 1 week (5 days) from our 11 month. I’m still totally head over heels for this boy. We’re both really busy with work and school at the moment, so it’s been a little hard to move time around to see each other, but I’d do anything to make sure that it woks as well as possible. Kinda cool feeling, to feel so strongly about another person.

I went to Club 21 for the first time in a long time last night and saw soooo many people that I knew, some of which I haven’t seen in a long ass time (like Graham!). It was kinda fun, until Mel and I danced for like 20-30 mins finally and then got TIRED. We took off, grabbed food from Hot Rods, and then went home and SLEPT.

Well I’m actually in class at the moment so I should probably take notes.

Hello Again, friend!

May 31, 2005

My how long it has been! I notice a pattern of me writing in this for a while then not for a long time then coming back and startign an entry with something like “Wow! It’s been a long time!”

So I’m no longer in High School, which is awesome, though I don’t think it’s hit me yet. Graduation was great, and Grad Night was awesome, even though I got home at 6:30, and had to wake up at 10:30 to make it down to Sac. So after a weekend of parties and family and driving and sleep deprivation, I’m slightly sleepy.

I have a boyfriend! After… what is it… 10 MONTHS. I’ve dated in that time but it never got the title. As of yesterday, I, Luke Miller, am no longer single. And hes intelligent, beautiful, complex, intriguing, talented as all hell, and amazing. Infatuated much…? We’ve hung out lately and I kinda fell hard, and It’s nice to know that it wasn’t futile for once. His singing entrances me every time I hear it. Yep.

I spent $35 on a hat today. I found a pink and grey Von Dutch hat on Amazon and decided to be impulsive and buy it. I also discovered a new band I love on iTunes and downloaded their CD. Everyone go get the CD “Phantoms” by Acceptance, its grand. I also downloaded the Incredibles soundtrack, which is hot.

So I’m rambling now. Nite!
